We here at Playset Toys are dedicated to helping you find the perfect outdoors playset for your child's recreational needs. A Tampa, FL based company, this site was born when we watched an entire summer go by where our children and their friends never moved from in front of the TV and their video game consoles. Remembering the summers of our youth, and the benefit we gained from being outdoors with our friends, we decided to do something about the growing number of children who spend all their time glued to a television set.

We begin to think back to our childhood and try to figure out what it was that enticed us to spend our every waking hour outside. One day while sitting on our back patio, looking out over our big, empty backyard, it hit us. What our kids needed was a playset.

We spent weeks searching for the perfect playset toys for our children and eventually found the perfect piece of equipment. One day, while our kids were off spending the night at friends houses, we set up their new playset toy and waited for them to notice it.

The next day, while we were sitting on the patio drinking lemonade and reading a book, our youngest child came looking for us to make him a snack. Within minutes he had noticed the new playset and run off to investigate. Before the end of the day he had introduced his new toy to all his brothers and sisters, and before the end of the week they had introduced it to all their friends.

Our backyard became so popular that the parents of our kids friends began to contact us to find out how we went about picking out the right playsets. We helped them find the right retailers, gave them some tips that had worked for us and before too long all of our kids friends had playsets of their own.

The idea quickly spread throughout the neighborhood and into our kids schools and before we knew it, parents we hardly knew were being referred to us for help in picking out their own child's playset toys. Eventually it occurred to us to make a website.

It is our hope that this site will help other parents just like us who sit around frustrated worrying about the effect too much TV and too little sunshine is having on their children, but are out a loss of any way too change it. We believe that every child could benefit from having a playset to play on. Children naturally want to be outside in the sun with their friends, you just have to give them a little incentive. In this age of video games and 24/7 cartoons, it is no wonder that our children can not have the same fun playing imaginary games outdoors as we use to have. However, playsets are timeless, and still as much fun today as they were when we were growing up. Here's hoping you have as much success with your children as we have had with ours.
